Too bad I missed this! The Ethics is one of the books I plan to read next year; it would’ve been great to read with a group!

Yeah, I agree. I'm kind of alone here as nobody else joined. Jared Henderson has some good notes on it from his reading over on his Commonplace Philosophy Substack, and I just joined a Philosophy Discord run by BookTuber Justin on his channel Triumphal Reads. Maybe he'll read it this year.

Just found you through the comments on Ted's page. I'm also going through the list, trying to stick with the year schedule, and just finished The Analects last night. Lord have mercy. NOT for me but it's done. I absolutely loved The Odyssey, though, and am a little excited to get back to the Greeks. Hi, glad to make your acquaintance, fellow traveller! I also loved the Odyssey, so much so that I followed up with Troy and hope to read The Iliad very soon.

Well done for getting through the Analects. And sticking to the one-year schedule too. Impressive!

I’m going through a similar experience with Histories. I don’t know if it’s the translation, my mood or if it’s just not my kind of book, but I can’t seem to get it. I’ll read the parts Ted recommended and try to give it another shot a few months from now. If it works, great. If not, I just have to accept some books are not everyone.
