Yuri's notes were really a treat 💗

What stands out to me is how sensorial this book reads!

Interesting that a year had passed and Yuri and Lara had not tried to meet each other...

I loved this chapter! I started keeping a diary/journal at the beginning of 2025 so reading Yury’s diary, his thoughts and how they spent their days and nights was fascinating to me.

I have to be honest that Yury’s thoughts on art did not make a whole lot of sense to me. That art is “something concentrated, strictly limited” is, I feel, completely the opposite of art.

Cams, I too think I agree with the “thread that runs through thousands of years” but again not really sure what Yury’s getting at here.

I suppose I’ll have to go back and reread Crime and Punishment as I don’t remember that line.

I also particularly enjoyed the sections 10, 11, 12 in the library. Descriptions of the library patrons, Yury hitting his borrowing limit, such beautiful writing. I love this book!

Some of the sections in here would be nice to reread before reading a classic.

No, it did not. Thanks for the heads up. It’s fixed now. — Cams.
