Attention Subscribers! This Substack is Moving!
I'm moving this Substack over to merge it with my other one.
Dear Subscribers,
I’m moving this Cams Campbell Reads publication over to my other account so that everything comes under one account name. I set up @camscampbellreads here because I didn’t know at the time that it was possible to create separate publications under the same account. Having two accounts is frustrating, particularly when using the mobile app. So I’ve been going back and forth with Substack’s support to get help with moving it all over to
(my primary account) and I’m about to instruct them to go ahead with it.What do my subscribers do?
Free subscribers shouldn’t need to do anything. I’ve exported my posts and subscriber lists and will be importing them in to the primary account. The name and subdomain of the publication should remain the same: Cams Campbell Reads. I mean I could use this as an opportunity to come up with a better title, but my mind is blank on that front!
For paid subscribers it’s a little different. I think you will be removed and refunded for any time remaining on your subscription and, if you want to continue to support me, you’ll need to resubscribe to my primary account and check the box for the Cams Campbell Reads publication. It’s a pain I know, but I’d rather do it now when I have just a few paid subscribers—and a massive thank you to all 14 of you!—rather than not do it and then wish I had when I’m a bigger publication. I’ll reach out to all of you via email and offer you something to join me again over on the primary account if you still want to. Whatever happens we’ll figure something out! I take my publications seriously and it’s by far my favourite platform to hang out on. That’s what makes having two accounts so frustrating, especially with the Notes feature.
I will have to close this publication down before setting it up on the primary account in order to keep the same subdomain of camscampbellreads.substack.com. I really hope it works!
To the writers I subscribe to
I’m assured by Substack’s support that the writers I pay to support will simply be moved over to the primary account, so I will continue supporting you over there as long as I can afford to. If it breaks, I’ll resubscribe from the primary account.
I don’t know when Substack will make the change after receiving my instruction, but I’m hoping to have the weekend to iron out the kinks. If you’re a subscriber and you get lost in the move or if you prefer not to resubscribe, thank you sincerely for your support of my little piece of Substack and I hope to see you again in this amazing, creative space sometime soon!
Best regards,
Cams
